Take on your ‘favorite’ celebrities in Shooting Stars, a unique shoot em’ up

Noodlecake Games is known for some pretty quirky titles, including the Happy Jump series and Small Fry, but their latest title certainly takes the cake. Shooting Stars is a new shoot em’ up that puts you on a mission to rid the world of alien invaders. Alien invaders that just happen to be disguised as various celebrities including Justin Bieber, Kanye West, and countless others — though their names have been changed slightly such as calling Bieber by the name Bieleber and Kanye is referenced as Kanye East.

Here’s a full list of features, straight from the developer:

  • Over 20 “celebrity” bosses
  • Challenge your friends in a global and daily highscore battle
  • Collect up to 50 amazing ultimate attacks and superfoods
  • Stack superfoods for ultimate destruction
  • Two different game modes: Card Hunt and Daily Challenge

  • Thrilling soundtrack with stunning sound effects
  • Weird and funny satire on pop culture
  • Every game will be totally different
  • Ride a freakin’ hoverboard
  • Achievements & Leaderboards
  • Rainbow Unicorn Approved

If you are looking for a super quirky shooter that basically pokes fun of celebrities and our Internet culture, you’ll definitely want to check this one out. Not only are there two different modes of play, there’s also highscore battles, and so much more.

Kappsule’s Latest Game ‘Battle Golf’ Is A Free Way To Defeat Menacing Creatures With A Solid Stroke

BattleGolf1

Golf balls have much in common with projectile weapons. They’re small. They’re shaped like musket balls. Sometimes they cut through the air too quickly for the eye to follow. You could do a lot of damage with one, if you think about it.

Developer Kappsule, creator of Wrassling, apparently has. Battle Golf is the result. In this not-quite-a-sports-game, you swing a club at a ball just like you would in a virtual golf course.

It’s not often the case, but T-Mobile is playing catch-up with some other carriers when it comes to getting OS updates to a flagship phone. Sprint M9 owners got it on the first of July and AT&T versions were updated two weeks ago, but at not-so-long last T-Mobile HTC One M9 owners will be upgraded to Android 5.1 as well.

Supply Issues Force Cancellation Of North American YotaPhone 2 Despite Successful Crowdfunding Campaign

yotaphone-ft

The dual-screen e-paper/LCD YotaPhone 2 has a sufficiently interesting gimmick that it was able to rack up almost $300,000 on Indiegogo last month. However, the Russian smartphone maker has reached out to backers to share some sad news. It is unable to get the North American variant manufactured in a timely manner, so it’s cancelling the device entirely.

The YotaPhone 2 already exists in multiple international markets, but the crowdfunding campaign was intended to make a North American version a reality.

Snowball Hits Version 2.0, Becomes A Full-Featured Notification Center

thumb

Back in October of 2014, a new beta app called Snowball was released. Back then it was a chat head-style multi-messaging client of sorts, which was useful enough in its own right. Snowball 2.0 is out now, and the app has apparently gotten a completely overhaul – it’s essentially a completely different thing now. Instead of being a messaging client, Snowball is now a full-featured (and damn good-looking) notification center. Check it out:

If I said this didn’t look pretty useful, I’d be lying.
