Google Daydream View VR headset makes its way to India

The Google Daydream View VR headset, which was released in the US and a few other countries in November, is now available in India. Flipkart is selling it for Rs. 6,499. You can get 5 percent off by using an Axis Bank Buzz credit card or a Rs. 300 cash back if you make the payment with PhonePe.

The first 30 customers to order the headset will receive a Google Chromecast for free, while the first 50 will get Rs. 500 in Google Play Store credit.

The Daydream View is made from a lightweight fabric and comes with a one-year warranty. You can use it for playing VR games and watching 360-degree videos on YouTube, among other things. To learn more about it, check out our review of the Google Daydream View.

Do keep in mind that you need a Daydream-ready smartphone if you want to use it. There are only a few of them available at the moment which are the Google Pixel and Pixel XL, Moto Z and Z Force, Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and ZTE Axon 7. More smartphones will support Daydream in the future including the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus as well as the Asus ZenFone AR.
